SkinheadsYou can often find me on IRC on EFnet and on IRCnet in #gay-skinheads, the no politics channel for gay skins and their friends. The EFnet -- mostly covering the US and Canada -- doesn't have many skins, so often I like to hang out on IRCnet. A few US servers connect to IRCnet, a good one to try is irc.stealth.net. One question I get asked a lot on the channel by 'visitors' is how someone can be gay and a skinhead. There seems to be a general assumption that as a skinhead you have to be racist and fascist. Not true -- White Power skinheads simply get a lot more press than others. The gay skinheads I know have a diverse range of politics, and many are anti-racist. And remember: skins originally listened and danced to Ska -- reggae! On #gay-skinheads we have a policy of not discussing politics -- there are other channels where you can do that.
The QueerSkins web ring has a small page of gay skin links I haven't bothered to put up here. A former favorite of mine, sadly much of the QSB -- Queer Skinhead Brotherhood site has become an annoying irrelevancy peddling a bizarre ideology and a ludicrous misreading of skinhead history.
